Q. Can I see the plants anywhere?
A. Yes. Richard can show you a selection of plants and recommend gardens to view.

Q. Can I walk on the plants?
A. Yes. Some will tolerate heavy traffic, others can be blended with tougher varieties for the same hardiness and wear.

Q. How far apart should I plant them?
A. The average is 20-30cm apart, depending on variety, speed of establishment, budget and use of mulches.

Q. Will they tolerate dry conditions?
A. WE have plants for all conditions including some that grow fine in dry conditions.

Q. How long do they take to grow?
A. 3-6 months on average, closer spacing is quicker, plants become denser with age.

Q. Can I mow them?
A. Yes, most varieties benefit from a once or twice annual mow and can tolerate regular mowing if necessary.

Q. How do I stop the weeds while they are growing?
A. Good preparation, the use of mulches and weed matts, and selected herbicides. Weed problems are very minimal once established.

Q. Do I need to water them?
A. Some plants tolerate nil artifical watering, others may need occasional watering, but then use little. Watering during establishment helps.

Q. When is best to plant?
A. When it is convenient and conditions allow. Avoid mid-winter in cold frosty sites and avoid mid-summer if some watering is prohibitive.

Q. How do I prepare the ground?
A. For a lawn, prepare as for a normal grass lawn except avoid excessive compacting of soil. Some varieties requrie little preparation. Enquire for yoru conditions and needs.
