Mercury Bay Weed - Dicondra Repens Native
The best known and most widely used NoMow lawn plant grown around the world. Leaves become smaller and tighter with traffic and forms a dense thatch of stems and leaves inpenetrable by weeds once established. It reseeds itself annually self-perpetuating and improving with age. Grows in sun or part shade and thrives on little moisture. Dicondra is resistent to some herbicides making establishment easy. Grows 1-3cm high. Moderate-heavy traffic. Excellent between paving stones and is shallow rooted so does not compete well with shrubs and trees. No maintenance required around tree trunks and rocks etc opening up for huge landscape variations.
